The service
Markdown2Social is a markdown editor that converts what you write into text you can paste into social platforms. It is free to use. There is no paid plan, no subscription and no payment of any kind. You can use the editor without an account; signing up adds saved drafts.
Your account
You need a working email address to sign up, and you must verify it. Keep your password to yourself — anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has access.
Your content
What you write stays yours. We claim no ownership of it and no licence to publish or reuse it. We store your saved drafts only to show them back to you in the editor.
Drafts written without an account
If you are not signed in, your drafts are stored only in your browser. They are not backed up anywhere. Clearing your browser storage, using private browsing, switching browsers or switching devices will lose them, and we cannot recover them. Sign in if you want drafts kept.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to:
- break the law, or produce content that is illegal where you or we are;
- impersonate someone else or sign up with an address you do not control;
- attack, overload, scrape at scale, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its API or other users' data;
- send spam, malware, or mass automated requests through the site or its forms.
Availability and warranty
The service is provided as-is and as-available, without warranty of any kind. It may be offline, slow, or change without notice, and features may be removed. Converted output is best-effort — check it before you post. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost content, lost profits, or other damages arising from your use of the service. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time, and can delete your own account from the Settings dialog while signed in. If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] and we will delete it for you — see the Privacy Policy for what that removes. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, or discontinue the service entirely.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version always lives on this page with its effective date; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
